Entrepreneurship is in our blood. If we see opportunities, we grab them with both hands. That is why in 2016 we spread our wings to Central America.
Ter Laak AmericaS
We have opened a 1.2-hectare Phalaenopsis nursery in Guatemala, where we grow flowering plants for the local market and pre-finished plants for export to neighbouring countries. We do this in collaboration with HFT Seedservices and Agro Orchids Costa Rica under the Ter Laak AmericaS flag. By growing locally, we stay closer to the market. In other words: local for local! This not only saves us time and money but is also more sustainable.
MVO
We are proud of the sense of commitment and the jobs we are creating in this area. Young, old, high-skilled or hands-on – local people are the driving force behind the work we do here. Good employment practices are therefore extremely important to us. We provide staff with meals during breaks and also offer training and continuing professional development opportunities.
